Former Employee - Heavy Equipment Technician says

"Poor Management, No Progression, No Training, Communist Corporation,"

Analyst says

"Make you work like a dog, lay off peoples and you have to pick up their workload, discrimination, favoritism, very limited development. Bad decisions always made."

Former Employee - Marketing Manager says

"Finning has a name for hiring people at full speed, and then letting them go as their knee jerk reaction to any fluctuation in the value of their share. I was told just before joining them: "Don't do it, they are heartless", and...I didn't listen. 4 years later, after my best performance ever in a company I was let go for no reason, exactly what I was told was going to happen before joining. It was not only me, lots of people from Senior VPs, VPs, Managers, Professionals, not Professionals, you name it all out. Some other large companies do it, I know, what is abnormal is Finning's criteria: if you are not part of the political game of your boss or his boss, you become a target. In good times, they will promise you everything to get you hired. When times get thought, Managers ensure their continuity by keeping around their best political friends...you and your family can take a hike! Beware and listen, I didn't do it and I paid for it!!"

Current Employee - Consulting Engineer says

"Accounting Is worked like dog. No work life balance. Must work weekends, 10+ hours per day."

Former Employee - Warranty Administrator says

"Worked hard through all lay offs but still let go"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"The organization is imploding and will soon become an IT division"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"This is a company that is about Perception Vs Merit! They don’t care how long you have worked for them, how you have performed only how well you are liked by Senior Leaders."

Former Employee - Edmonton says

"Disorganized, Ramped favouritism, Unethical practices, and Empty promises"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Horrible culture of hire/fire (referred to as layoffs and budget cuts). Plenty of claims that they are changing, but in my five years with them, the often let positive change initiatives fall by the wayside. Managers protect other managers and employees are left on their own to try and survive. A lot of top down direction with little to no input from actual employees on the front lines (or in the office)"

Materials Technician (Current Employee) says

"We've been starving for any shape or form of leadership here for decades. Management is just an old boys/buddies club taking care of each others self-preservation. One manager will walk employees out the door during layoffs while another manager hands out their bonuses the same day. Annual employee surveys no longer include questions about management as they disliked the constant negative (but realistic) feedback. Disgusting abuse and exploitation of a brand name like Caterpillar.you will feel like a somebody working for a brand name like Caterpillar hereyou are a NOBODY working for a brand name like Caterpillar here"

Finance Administrator (Former Employee) says

"Culture is very stressful and cut throat. When claims are filed, it’s more or less your pink slip. Experience is not valued and almost threatening to managers.BenefitsWork life balance, culture, senior management"

SOLDADOR A (Former Employee) says

"los dias se hacian agradables con los colegas del turnoseguros complementariosno habian descanso"

SAP Development Lead (Former Employee) says

"El desarrollo y valoración del capital Humano en Finning es muy limitado y aun sigue siendo de los años 70's 80's y 90' en los cuales el latigo tal ves era la mejor solución para alcanzar los logros del plan anual. En la actualidad la diversidad, empatia, el liderazgo y la Gestión de la Felicidad (GeFe) es pieza fundamental para lograr exito en las empresas."

Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) says

"No raises in many years, layoff's constantly so you're always wondering if today's the day they walk you out the door. Wouldn't recommend working here."

Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"This place is what nightmares are made of. They hire and fire faster then the weather changes. Do not give up a stable job to go to this company. No training, they fully excpect you to know all of their processes. Others would rather hoard information then share to benefit the customer and company. When you introduce suggestions you get brushed off. Unbalanced work load throughout the "team". Bad behaviour is rewarded within the office, very unprofessional with employees yelling highly inappropriate curse words at each other as a joke. Constent behind the back snickering, negative atmosphere. Management hears all of this and nothing is done. Good riddance, do yourself a favour and stay away.Noneatrocious office behaviour, no job security, no training, no room for advancement"

Business Analyst (Contracting) says

"Good Consulting Environment and good work life balance, good benefits for consultants and contractors, the management still needs to be improved, very poor management overall."

Preventative Maintenance Planner (Former Employee) says

"Overall it is an ok place to workUnfortunately certain managers let the business down, and make it an extremely stressful place to work. Always cutting staff down and pushing workload up and unwilling to assist Free parkingFar too stressful and unsupportive"

Hourly Employee (Current Employee) says

"This corporation is a sad machine that runs on a very dated and delusional image of its name and brand. While constantly downsizing, disposing of good people and closing branches, the fact is that this ship is sinking while trying to maintain yesteryear's revenues and ideals. 99% of managers are overpaid monkeys, puppets, or actors that report to higher-up clowns, all of these arrogant moguls with absolutely no credibility yet yammer and yap like they do. Where they should inspire, build people and teams we instead learn to tolerate and even pity them as just another tragic part of our Finning existence. They have not and could not perform your job but somehow know what’s best for you and that your performance is constantly lacking. Yes, this aged tyranny still believes in getting the most out of people by overloading with completely unachievable goals then motivating us through guilt, shame, threat, and unbelievably .. still bullying nowadays!! The toxicity and animosity here runs deeper and deeper year over year. Where mental health is declining and destroying people, families, and society, companies that operate like this need to be exposed for their abuse. This is not a positive nor inclusive place to come to daily. You will regret then despise working for this cult well within a year of your start date - guaranteed!good comradery among us lowlife disposable employeesVery elite and arrogant management"

Anonymous (Former Employee) says

"high turnover and poor leadership. Their core values do not align with business management. They expect you to work hard with no incentive or reward. Opportunities for lateral moves but limited to other promotions.good pension planlong hours, lack of recognition, high politics, poor compensation"

Engineering Manager (Former Employee) says

"If you are a woman wanting to get into a sales or engineering role the job is yours as they are desperate to close the 91% gender pay gap. Women are being promoted despite not having the knowledge. HR thought of as quite badly as not being led by a supposed long-term HR manager. Staff turnaround high and wages always paid wrong, they just do not care."

Safety Manager (Former Employee) says

"This is by far the worst company to work for. The leadership is always changing and the turnover rate is ridiculous. They are always in a hire/ fire cycle and your job is never safe. This up and down feeling leads to a poor culture and safety stats reflect a poor cultureNonePoor leadership"

Anon (Current Employee) says

"If you want to work for a company that only rewards managers then go for it. Worst company ever worked for. HR General Manager doesnt even know what is going on with their own staff. Too many Managers and not enough decisions on how staff feel. Avoid, avoid, avoid.NoneRubbish management"

Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"Finning is full of corporate ladder climbers who hire and fire as needed to get their dept numbers where they need for the next promotion. Finning has a a lay-off reputation among the construction and trades, and it is well deserved. Many incompetent mid level managers who excell at one thing, managing up. Toromont is able to run their dealership much more efficiently. I have never and would never buy Finning stock.short hoursboys club office culture."

MSA (Former Employee) says

"If you want any sense of job security do not work for Finning. Over my years of working with them I saw over 8 rounds of layoffs which included really good performers.Good co-workersTerrible management"

Mechanic (Former Employee) says

"They are closing down Red Deer branch ( and have already closed other towns) for no reason other than greed. Destroying families and bankruptcies is no biggie. Customers are being lied to as well. Every person who uses Finning should boycott. Inhuman treatment of long term employees just to bump up share prices a bit. Never ever work for Finning. Never. It is all lies and the second you are not needed or the stock prices drop ten cents you will be liquidated so JC can look good.Decent wagesEasily canned"

Picker and Packer (Former Employee) says

"Easy work picking and packing scanner used training is provided , heavy parts to be picked picking trollies are used to wheel parts aroundEasy workLong hours"

Electrician (Former Employee) says

"unionized, except they dont protect the workers, from all the political nonsense, everyone especially management only looks out for themselvesif you aren't part of the in crowd you are definatly made to feel like a second class citizen"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Management is weak and lacks direction. Decisions are made without care for employees or repercussions No one in management stands behind employees Big benefit cuts over the last several years"

Service Advisor (Former Employee) says

"The only good thing about this job were the hours; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The techs were ok to work with but the administrative staff was very two faced and cut throat; always trying to trip me up. There was no support from management, basically left to my own devices to figure stuff out. The mangers didn't seem to know what they were doing, if we had a decent manager for a little whlle they didn't last as everything has to be done the old school Finning way, no open box thinking. I was bullied by one of the managers and HR didn't make a big deal about it, I ended up going on stress leave and finding a better job. Worst 5 years of my life."

Chaw Kalyar Min says

"Very bad service. After they took your money, everything could go wrong as many different people handle each case without any communication and you will not receive contact and advice. You will be in trouble at some point."

Costumer says

"Keep away from this bussines!!! I payed £167 for the service and next day received the phone call that they need another £230. So what I did I canceled the service and had rhe email from them that they not going to refund any money!!!! SCAM keep away"

philip hughes says

"unfortunately i paid them £397.00 , for which i only heard from them once with one lot of papers. i was never rung back or received any communication after that. i conducted the divorce successfully and 7 months later have a decree absolute . i would not want anymore to do with this firm."

rob says

"Awful company, and yes it is a scam. I have reported them to company house for fraud. They took my money and did no work at all. please read these messages do not use this company it is a scam. Lets hope they get shut down soon so no more victims get scammed out of hundreds"
